DESCRIPTION:Join us for the second year of the Lunch & Learn series\, featuring a series of fascinating discussions led by our TBS House Scholars. Although the Psalms teach us to make every day count\, Jews are specifically taught to count the 49 days from Passover (the festival of freedom from slavery) to Shavuot (the celebration of freedom to serve God by learning and living Torah). This period of 49 days—seven weeks—is called the Omer. Spiritually\, the Omer is a time for us to reflect on our lives and to refine our character\, our soul traits that define our personality. We invite you to join Cantor Lanie Katzew\, along with her spouse\, Rabbi Jan Katzew\, as they introduce a wonderful new book\, Chai on Life by Lori Kleiner Eckert\, and provide colorful commentary.
