SUMMARY:Volunteer Shift at Cradles to Crayons
DESCRIPTION:Bring your kids (ages 5+) and join Mitzvah Makers and TBS Social Action for an afternoon of volunteering at the Cradles to Crayons (C2C) Giving Factory in Newton! We will quality check\, sort\, package\, and prepare new and gently used donations to go to kids in the Greater Boston community through C2C’s incredible network of Service Partners. Please note that this program takes place off-site at Cradles to Crayons\, which is about a 20 minute drive from TBS. While younger siblings are typically welcome at Mitzvah Makers events\, C2C requires volunteers to be at least 5 years old. \nWhether you are able to participate in the C2C shift or not\, please consider donating to our C2C clothing drive! Volunteers may bring their bag(s) of gently used children’s clothing to the shift on November 8. Those who are not volunteering may drop their bags on the front porch of 109 Arch Street\, Needham beginning on November 1st. DESCRIPTION:Join TBS Social Action for our 6th year of donating bag lunches\, snacks and breakfast foods to guests in the Father Bill’s network of homeless shelters in Brockton! EVERY MONTH we commit to donating100 bag lunches\, snacks and breakfast foods\, providing immediate and measurable impact. This is a great project for individuals or families! We will collect donations between 9:15 and 9:45am on the Webster side of the TBS front parking lot. Drive right up and we will unload your bagged items from your car. We appreciate your on-time drop-off as we depart for Brockton delivery immediately following the collection. Can’t make it to the collection? No problem! Non-perishable donations may be dropped at a Needham address prior to the collection day. Details in the sign-up link. SUMMARY:Thanksgiving Pie Bake
DESCRIPTION:Join TBS Social Action for our 7th annual Thanksgiving Apple Pie Bake! We will make pies to brighten Thanksgiving for the Allston Brighton Food Pantry’s Thanksgiving community dinner and for the Needham Police and Fire Departments who serve us year-round! Together\, we will peel\, core and slice apples\, fill pre-made crusts and make the crumb topping. We will take care of the baking\, making this a great activity for families (5 years and older with an adult) and any adults of any age who want to have fun doing a mitzvah as a community!
