SUMMARY:Aya Korem Pop-up Concert
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, March 19\, 7:00 PM \n\n\n\nAya Korem has been described as “one of the most talented\, independent\, and beloved singers of Israel’s younger generation!” Her music beautifully blends literary lyrics with thoughtful pop and folk influences. She has enjoyed collaborating with some of the best-known musicians in Israel. Aya just finished a incredibly successful U.S. tour that brought her to Palo Alto\, Los Angeles\, Seattle\, Austin\, and New York City. Due to the violence in Middle East\, Aya’s planned return to Israel has been delayed and she has agreed to come to Boston for a pop-up ‘one night only’ concert at Temple Beth Shalom. This promises to be an incredible evening! Questions? Please contact Cantor DJ Fortine. \n\n\n\nTickets for TBS members are available at the subsidized rate of $18/person. If you are trying to purchase tickets as a TBS member and the link is not working\, please check which email address you’re entering\, or contact programs@tbsneedham.org for assistance.  If you are not a TBS member\, please click here to purchase tickets at $45/person (also a subsidized rate).

SUMMARY:Torah Study
DESCRIPTION:No previous experience with Torah study is required…just an open mind and a desire to learn more! \nAll are welcome as we join together for a special Shabbat morning Torah Study in honor of beloved longstanding TBS Lay Leader\, Dave Berg.  Since joining TBS in 1958\, Dave has helped shape the life of our community. Dave’s care for people\, devotion to Jewish values\, and dedication to prayer and learning have inspired his leadership over the years.  A highly respected engineer\, Dave actively consulted on every TBS building project since he and his beloved Shirley\, of blessed memory\, became part of the congregation.  Our learning will focus on the Torah portion-of-the-week known as Sh’lach L’cha (Numbers 13:1ff).  This is the Torah portion that Dave read when he became Bar Mitzvah in 1945!  A delicious buffet breakfast will be served.
