Louis D. Brown Peace Institute and Mother's Day Walk for Peace

On Friday, April 12, 2019 at 7:15 pm, please join us during Shabbat Services to welcome a speaker from the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. The Peace Institute is widely regarded locally for its important work with families and communities impacted by gun violence. During the Oneg after services, we will have a chance to connect with the representative from the Peace Institute and learn more about their Mother's Day Walk for Peace. This annual event, which has run for 22 years, was begun by those impacted by gun violence to embrace our shared responsibility to create more peaceful communities. Temple Beth Shalom is proud to be walking with the Peace Institute and with families from across the state and region this Mother's Day May 12th, 2019. We hope you will join us in speaking out for peace, and against gun violence. We stand in solidarity with families that have lost a loved one to gun violence.
