Mimouna with TBS Tzedek

On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, from 6:30-8:00 pm, TBS Tzedek will celebrate Mimouna in Simon Hall. Mimouna is a post-Passover event enjoyed by Moroccan Jews and their Arab (both Muslim and Christian) neighbors. The festival celebrates our happiness that the week-long, arduous Passover is over and there is a transition to eating non-Passover foods. It is a gesture of goodwill, harmony and solidarity and one where Moroccan Muslims would reach out to their Jewish neighbors, and Jewish neighbors would reach out to their Muslim neighbors. The hope is for coexistence of different faiths and mutual respect among neighbors. Please join us, our Muslim friends, and friends of all faiths to enjoy desserts, music, and friendship, along with learning about Passover, Mimouna and the upcoming Muslim holy days of Ramadan. TBS Tzedek will provide beverages and some desserts. Please bring a dessert to share if you are able. This event is free but RSVP is required. Click here to RSVP.
