Israel Crisis in Context

Shai Nahon is an outstanding Israeli educator, historian, and guide. A member of our TBS community who recently traveled with Shai describe him as 'having a unique ability to teach the complex intersection of geopolitical, religious, and historical dynamics of Israel to all ages.' During our specially arranged session, Shai will help us to understand how the events of October 7th are being experienced in Israel, the background of Hamas and how they came to rule Gaza, the relationship between what is unfolding in Gaza and current dynamics in the West Bank and northern Israel, and current media and social media coverage. Shai will expertly help us better comprehend the current reality and consider possible outcomes. This program is open to adults and teens. Light refreshments will be served. Questions?
