Rosenwald LIVE! Remarkable Story of a Jewish Social Justice Pioneer

Sunday, December 4th, 10:00 AM

Join Three Score/More or Less for the live screening of ‘Rosenwald’, the inspiring documentary that narrates the philanthropy of Julius Rosenwald, President of Sears-Roebuck, who became an early adopter of racial justice. Following the film, we’ll be joined virtually by Stephanie Deutch, author, You Need a Schoolhouse, Booker T. Washington, Julius Rosenwald, and the Building of Schools for the Segregated South, for a lively backstory discussion including audience Q&A. The story of Rosenwald schools touches on so many aspects of our history — immigration, business, philanthropy, and, especially, race relations.

The cost of $10 per person includes a delicious bagel brunch. Open to the entire adult TBS Community. After registering, your payment may be made either via electronic banking or mailing a check payable to Temple Beth Shalom to 670 Highland Ave., Needham, MA 02494. Please include ‘Rosenwald’ in the memo on the check. Let’s enjoy a morning of learning, fun, and friendship!
