America@250: Reading Our Past, Present, and Future

At a time of deep division, we need reasons to come together and to be strengthened by that which unites us. Join us for the Needham America@250 Discussion Series – a community-wide invitation to reflect upon the aspirational values at the heart of our nation. Each session will include guided, engaging conversations around some of America’s most powerful and inspiring texts.

IMPORTANT: All sessions will be held from 7:00- 8:30 PM. The first four sessions will be held in person at the Center at the Heights (300 Hillside Avenue in Needham). The final session on Tuesday, June 30th, featuring our Ritual of Civic Renewal and Celebration, will be held at Needham Town Hall (1471 Highland Avenue in Needham).

Monday, May 18: The Declaration of Independence. *Hosted at the Heights by the Temple Beth Shalom community
Thursday, May 28: The New Colossus. *Hosted at the Heights by the Congregational Church of Needham, UCC community
Thursday, June 11: What to the Slave is Freedom. *Hosted at the Heights by the First Parish in Needham, United Univeralist community
Thursday, June 25: America the Beautiful. *Hosted at the Heights by the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church community
Tuesday, June 30: Culminating Civic Ritual of Renewal. *Held at Needham Town Hall
