Families with School-Age Children
TBS brings together our families with school-age children for programs designed just for this stage of family life! With everything from mitzvah projects to active Shabbat Hikes, family dinners, and social gatherings, TBS offers opportunities for connection, celebration, learning, and fun! Programs are open to families with children in grades K-6, with older and younger siblings welcome.

Ongoing Series
Shabbat Family Hikes
Monthly on Saturday Afternoons
Connect to the restful spirit of Shabbat by recharging in nature! Join Rachel Happel and fellow TBS families for a hike in the woods on the second Saturday of the month. Designed for families with elementary age children, these family-friendly hikes are about 1-1.5 miles and include time for nature exploration and community connection.
Hikes take place “drizzle or shine” but cancel for heavy rain or other extreme weather conditions.
Mitzvah Makers
Make a difference and meet other families committed to making the world a better place! Join us for monthly family-friendly mitzvah opportunities in-house at TBS or at local social service organizations.
