“Our Tears Are the Same”: Bereaved Israelis and Palestinians Reach for Peace

Join us as we welcome two inspirational speakers – Israeli and Palestinian – from The Parents Circle – Families Forum. The Parents Circle-Families Forum is a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization made up of more than 800 bereaved families. Their common bond is the loss of a close family member to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. But, instead of choosing revenge, they have chosen a path of reconciliation and of pursuit of a peaceful, safe shared society in the Middle East. Tens of thousands of Israelis and Palestinians have been positively impacted by the work of The Parents Circle and by their shared embrace of the sanctity of human life.
We are honored to welcome Maayan Inon (an Israeli mother of two daughters whose parents were killed on October 7th) and Sima Awad (a resident of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, whose brother, at the age of three, was killed). This promises to be a moving and meaningful evening. Light refreshments will be served.
