TBS Welcomes October 7th Hero, Nurse, and Survivor: Nili Margalit

On October 7th, Nili Margalit was kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Nir Oz and held in the tunnels of Gaza for 55 days. A pediatric nurse by profession, Nili became a lifeline to fellow hostages—managing medications, offering medical care, and providing comfort under unimaginable conditions. During her captivity, Nili drew strength from thoughts of her 8-year-old neighbor Carmel Bar’ad, herself a survivor of October 7th. Born with autism, epilepsy, and a rare genetic condition, Carmel’s life depends on stability, specialized care, and support. Hear Nili’s firsthand account of survival and help honor her bravery by supporting Nili’s effort to raise funds to help provide Carmel with the care she needs to heal, develop, and build a hopeful future. Carmel’s father, Eyal Bar’ad will also be with us. Light refreshments will be served.
