Event Series: US Constitution

Our Constitution in the News

September 29 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Former federal court Judge Judith Barzilay, who was also a Professor at William & Mary Law School, will lead a two-part program taking a deeper dive into the text of the US Constitution and its import in the context of challenges, developments and perspectives presented by current events. It is expected that the first session will focus on the body of the Constitution and that the second session will focus on amendments contained in the Bill of Rights. The actual program may be adjusted to address current events and court decisions at the time of the programs and their impact as well as consideration of impact on the Jewish community and issues of Tikkun Olam.

The first 100 registrants will receive a pocket-sized copy of the US Constitution for use during and after the program. Light desserts will also be provided. This is the second in a two-part series; new participants are welcome!
