Want to Do Something about Treatment of ICE Detainees?

Are you bothered by the treatment of ICE-detainees and other immigrants?  TBS, is offering an opportunity to learn about the campaign “Not with our Money, Citizens Bank!” launched recently by the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO). TBS members who represent our congregation within GBIO will lead an informational “teach-in” regarding Citizen Bank’s ongoing financing of two private prison companies that have built detention centers now being used to house ICE detainees and are planning additional centers.  The teach-in also will illuminate how funds deposited at Citizens by individuals, businesses, and organizations might contribute to such financing – and share actions available for depositors to ensure that their funds would not be used in such ways.
